Every year, ITB Berlin is a special meeting place for the international tourism industry. This year, it was once again full of encounters, discussions and new ideas. We had the pleasure of supporting our client Destination Asia with a fantastic stand in Hall 26B. A great team, lots of intensive discussions with existing and new customers, and an all-round strong presence at the trade fair.

Exciting media interviews were on the agenda for EVA AIR. And for PATA Deutschland e.V., we were delighted to meet many long-standing and new members in person.

Now we are looking forward to the upcoming projects and collaboration in the coming months. During all these encounters, our thoughts were naturally with our friends, partners and customers who were unable to attend ITB this year – we very much hope to see you all again in person soon.

May we introduce you to the newly elected PATA board, which will lead our association into the coming season (from left):

1st Chairman Michael Metzner (Tischler Reisen), the new Deputy Chairman Sinasi Isbir (Asian Dreams Touristik GmbH), Chief Financial Officer Isabelle Bauer (PURE Touristik Solutions) and Christian Handschell as the new member of the board (Wörtersee Communication Marketing Sales).

Together, they bring fresh ideas, many years of expertise, and a great deal of passion for Asia and the Pacific.

Three inspiring days in Frankfurt, Stuttgart and Munich: As the office manager of PATA Germany Chapter, WörterSee successfully organised PATA Luxury Edition 2025 – an exclusive B2B platform for the luxury travel industry.

In special locations with exquisite menus, selected partners from Asia and the Pacific presented themselves to a specialist audience of tour operators and agencies. The event offered valuable insights into current developments in the luxury travel market and promoted new collaborations.

WörterSee is currently realising an eye-catching out-of-home campaign for the launch of EVA AIR’s new Premium Economy Class in Munich on 17 May. As the responsible marketing and PR agency, WörterSee has developed a campaign that ensures maximum visibility at highly frequented locations in the Bavarian capital.

The campaign includes strategically placed mega lights and city light posters that impressively showcase the benefits of EVA AIR’s new Premium Economy Class. The advertising spaces were specifically selected to appeal to frequent business and private travellers in Munich.

In the coming weeks, the campaign will be expanded to include further appealing out-of-home formats to accompany the market launch of Premium Economy Class in the long term.

The first Oceania Roadshow powered by PATA celebrated an all-round successful premiere with a full house in Munich, Freiburg, Mannheim and Cologne. A total of around 200 travel agents took part in the informative training events and expanded their specialist knowledge of the fantastic destinations in the South Pacific.

Five first-class destination partners – New Zealand, Australia, Cook Islands, Fiji and Tahiti – presented their destinations and shared valuable insider tips and up-to-date information with the travel consultants. Participants were given exclusive insights into the diverse holiday options, cultural highlights and natural beauty of the South Pacific islands and countries.

The strong partner network was complemented by the presence of leading airlines: Air Tahiti Nui, Air New Zealand, Emirates, Cathay Pacific and Fiji Airways presented their connections and services and provided information on current developments.
